English Today’s new program targets 10 key academic skills for TOEFL® iBT success Study TOEFL with a private instructor in Jakarta Do you need to achieve a high score on the iBT TOEFL® test? Need to study in an English speaking country? English Today can prepare students in Jakarta to pass the TOEFL® exam, and this can be done by one on one lessons with an experienced TOEFL® teacher here in Jakarta. Our teachers can deliver one on one private lessons or small group classes. In support of our lessons English Today gives extra homework based on the skills our teacher has taught. This method reduces the time needed with a native or local TOEFL teacher. All of English Today’s teachers are fully qualified and eager to teach.
TOEFL IBT CLASS OUTLINE Objective: Provide students with the necessary language and practice for them to be able to answer the Speaking and Writing sections of the IBT test. Sample lesson outline Speaking and writing will be combined in one class as the language and organizing skills required in each are very similar.
The first part will consist of students choosing one of two TOEFL writing or speaking questions and then brainstorming and outlining a verbal response to it. They will be encouraged to use certain vocabulary and taught how they should approach the question and organise their response. All students will then take turns to present their opinion to the class, while the others listen and try to note down what the others have said. The second part will be writing. Here students can use the information they have gained to write an essay on one of the above topics used. Again they will be shown how to organise their essays and encouraged to use specific vocabulary.
